Hi everyone. So long story short, I’ve had endo for 13 years, 10 laparoscopies and partial bladder removal (due to endo perforating the bladder wall). Latest MRI and appointment shows it’s back sitting next to bladder so that mean laparoscopy number 11. My consultant today though suggested I consider also having my ovaries removed at the same time. I’m 41. Has anyone got any advice or wisdom to share on this please if you’ve also had ovaries removed ? I need all the info I can get before I make a decision 💛🎗️💛🎗️

It is still early days and you’ll still be healing. Be careful you aren’t doing too much too soon.

Sorry you are still in pain, I know exactly how you are feeling though and how badly it effects your life.

The RCOG website has info for what to do/not do after a hysterectomy.

hello, LollyP83 and Manunited2 ! I'm so sorry you've both been through such trauma with your endo. I haven't had your exact experiences but I've been trying to figure out anti-inflammatory approaches to managing endo. As I'm sure you both know, endo is an inflammatory disease that can be triggered or exacerbated by inflammatory conditions within the body. So, I began reading a book called Heal Endo by Katie Edmonds, and she has had a lot of success with various clients from all over the world in managing symptoms through holistic lifestyle changes. If either of you is interested and haven't tried anything of the sort before, I'd highly recommend reading her book. In my 15+ years of living with this diagnosis, I have never had a doctor give me nearly as much information as her book does. I haven't been able to implement all of the things she recommends, but I have had success with endometriomas shrinking as a consequence of reducing pro-inflammatory foods or substances and increasing anti-inflammaotry foods and other habits/approaches. Acupuncture has also been very helpful for me in the past, but it can be a bit expensive to get.

I hope that you can find some relief from your pain soon! Best of luck to you both on your journey to a life free from the torment of endo ♡
