Just curious how many operations you’ve had for endometriosis? I’ve had two, now staring down the barrel of my third. Just wondering how many out there have had multiple surgeries? ❤️🩹

I was also going to post this question!
How far apart have your surgery’s been?
I had my first laparoscopy in July ‘21 and currently going through the games of trying to get another.
Curious to know how many multiple surgeries people have had also, as I’m getting tired of hearing ‘we don’t want to put you through another surgery as it gets more complicated each time with the scar tissue’ etc etc. (I know they want to put you off it due to the expense). I’m not sure I’m going to experience complications with scar tissue from one previous excision in which they found minimal amount at that time..
Would like to present them with my own research on people’s experiences with each surgery they’ve had 😅
Yesss! I totally agree - tired of hearing the same thing about not wanting to put us through multiple surgeries. It’s not like we WANT to have to be operated on at all. My last consultant was trying to seriously get me to consider a hysterectomy (I’m 36) so that I don’t have to go through more operations.
I do get kind of freaked out by doctors about scar tissue and how every time you remove adhesions you create new ones … but the endo is coming back no matter what so it’s like is scar tissue really the biggest concern ? Definitely trying to educate myself as much as possible.
I had my first lap in Sept 2017, my second in Aug 2021 and am also currently going through the motions for another. To be fair they found “extensive adhesions” in my second surgery so they may have been due to a previous surgery.
Hello I have had 3 surgeries and have been offered a 4th one. I was told by a consultant that throughout my lifetime I will have multiple surgeries ☹️ what else can we do, it’s not easy to live with Endo/Adeno x
