As the title says. 90% of the above symptoms stopped when I stopped using the pill in question.

So, for those of you who are predisposed to migraines, what pills have you been able to tolerate better?

hey, I’ve suffered with migraines since I was 12 I’m now 23. Only certain contraceptions are allowed to be used whilst you have migraines because majority of them will make them worse. The mini pill is one that does make them worse. I believe the only ones you can have is the depo provera (injection), the implant or a certain coil. I think marina coil it is… I’d recommend you see a neurologist to discuss your migraines because they are awful and can turn very serious quickly.

All the best x

Do you think the coil can help manage bowel endo pain and inflammation?

I have Migraine with Aura and due to the increased risk of stroke, certain hormonal contraceptions containing oestrogen are very dangerous. The progestogen-only pill is generally safe, is that what you've been taking? I chose to stop taking any hormone contraception three years ago and my partner had a vasectomy. If it wasn't for that my only other option would have been the coil, and doctors are still recommending I have that fitted to help with my periods. If you don't already, I would say it's very important that you get an accurate diagnosis for Migraine, especially if you have visual disturbances and other worrying symptoms as this would indicate Migraine with Aura.

It was a progestin mini pill that gave me those side effects. I have bowel endo also and I don’t know if an IUD can help manage bowel pain and inflammation.
