I have been prescribed the cerelle pill just over a year ago, I have been taking this as they suspect I have endometriosis. I have been getting periods up until recently and now they seem to of stopped completely. I have taken a test and I am not pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this with taking the mini pill? I know it says on the packet that it can stop periods, but is this usual to happen when been taking for over a year.
Any help of advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

This is totally normal and the whole reason why they give you the pill if you have endo. The point is to stop your periods so you don't have pain. I'm very sorry your specialist did not explain this to you. But if you have endo you should also be givena proper scan in case you need it removed by suregry as the pill can just mask the pain and it doesnt stop the endo growing.
I have had an ultrasound scan and they found a ‘chocolate’ cyst and said this is an indication of endometriosis. I have an appointment in October to discuss whether I want the mirena coil fitted or to have a laparoscopy.
Yes, it is an indictaor of endo. If I were you I'd push for an MRU , that will show up more of where the endo is. It is good to get it treated and removed before it spreads to much and sticks thengs together. Sounds like you are on the right track. Good luck. x
So sorry typo, I meant MRI. But I know diaphramic endo is very hard to spot on MRI. CT scan probably makes more sense. You would be better to ask an imaging specialist what is the best option, I've had a good google and it says CT ratehr than MRI for diaphragm endo.
