I had a CT scan and they found cysts and I believe one is an endometriosa cyst. My laparoscopy is soon, and I’m wondering if they have a look - if it’s bad, what are the reasons they would suggest a full hysterectomy for?
thanks

Is your lap being done in general gynaecology by a regular surgeon and not in a specialist centre?
I think they would only suggest that if the endo is very bad and that all internal organs fused together. But it would also depend on your tubes and ovary’s. I think they only do that as a last resort. The thing is when you are young they don’t like putting people in an early menopause unless it’s absolutely necessary. Xxx having a hysterectomy may not Even take all those symptoms away as endo could be in the bladder or bowel. The gynecologist will let you know after the lap what happens next and they will normal suggest to see you again if they find endo. If they don’t find anything then they won’t like follow it up further
Hi Dratini, normally with this they would simply remove what they can and you'll still be in working order after the operation. Have they mentioned anything to you about a hysterectomy? From what I know it's only done in extreme cases and only with your say so
