Social Life? Alcohol...

Just wondering if anyone still has a social life, going out having a few drinks? I know alcohol is bad for endo and inflammatory. I'm trying to limit it to 3 times a month. But December I have so many events! Going out tonight and dreading the aftermath tomorrow! But I enjoy going out and love wine so I'm not willing to give it up a few times a month! Wondering if taking DIM to flush excess estrogen after booze would help?

Hey, how are you doing? Was the aftermath as bad as you expected? My social life wasn't affected by the diagnosis. If anything it became better, as people around me are supper supportive. Whenever out and about, I swap all the drinks for the alcohol free ones and the nights go as usual.

That's good to hear you're still enjoying a social life! The hangover wasn't too bad yesterday but im still feeling really tired today. It was worth it though, I had a great night! I wish I could swap to non alcoholic drinks but I love my wine too much! I also love the buzz and energy I get for a few hours!

I go out but I'm always the driver. I don't drink as it's just not worth it for me. I bleed sooooo much more during and after I drink. I think just monitor your symptoms and keep an eye on your intake.

Alcohol is a real no for me with the endo but occasionally I have the odd glass of something really good if I feel I can get away with it. It can be a complete trigger for a flare however so the price is debatable sadly.

Sounds like I'm lucky as it doesn't cause me pain. Feel tired for a few days after and dodgy tummy sometimes. Price is worth paying for me 🥂
