I'm just wondering, do people's symptoms vary from month to month? For example, last month I had a lot of pain and discomfort prior to, during and for a few days after my period. This month things were nowhere near as bad. I just wondered if other people experienced this or generally are things bad all of the time?
Thanks 😊

Hi. I have the same. One month can be painful but bearable. Another month can be extreme pain. Sometimes I can be heavy and other times not so much (sorry tmi) I get mid cycle pain and spotting every month (again, sorry tmi) and I get lower back pain every now and then. I've just been diagnosed stage 3/4 endo that's adhered my bowel to my left ovary and tube. my periods when I was younger were awful! They def got better with age but since TTC feels like gone back to teenage period days 🙈
hi. Hope your having a good day. I didn't know I had endometriosis till emergency surgery for suspected appendicitis but in hindsight I was having more pain every other month, I put it down to over doing the running and just being busy but I had a large chocolate cysts attached to my bowel, womb and encasing my right ovary which was causing the discomfort whereas the cysts on the left ovary hadn't attached to anything else which made it less painful. I'll spare you the very long story but I had surgery again in may and I'm feeling much better for the time being but that could just be the prostap, hot flushes are a pleasure as I'm not in nearly as much pain!
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad you're feeling better after surgery. I've been having problems for about 7 years, the GP strongly suspects it's endometriosis (as do I after thinking back over all the different symptoms I've been having over the years) so she's referred me to gynae again (I've been seen previously by gynae a few years ago due to irregular bleeding). I have an appointment in September and an ultrasound next week to rule anything else out.
hi. It's a horrible disease I always feel a fraud as I only had cycle problems 6 months before getting diagnosed where as some people spend years struggling ☹ .
do you keep a pain log? The endometriosis specialist we saw found it very helpful. Just be careful they don't fob you off even experienced general gynecologist can miss endometriosis as we found out.
