I had my surgery on the 30th of March, where they found four bits of endo. I did have stomach pains in my first month, but then I had an infection. From the second month after my surgery, I had stomach pains again, although it was at a lower intensity and frequency. Over the last couple of months, the intensity and frequency have worsened. I had my four-month follow-up last week. I told the doctor that I still had symptoms, and she said that it wasn't possible that it had returned in 2 months and the symptoms didn't sound like endo. She said that the only thing they could do was give me pain medication. I have the coil, which was replaced during the surgery. I was taking the contraceptive pill as well but stopped in April as I found that I was putting on weight and was getting very depressed. The doctor then went to speak to the consultant who did my surgery, and she suggested getting the GnRH Analogue Injections and going on HRT to prevent the side effects of the injections. Has anyone been put on this treatment plan and is willing to share their experience? I thought the surgery was going to help, and now I feel hopeless.

Hey, sorry you are going through this. I had my surgery a year ago and was told they can never guarantee they can remove all of it and that it wud return. I started with symptoms again a couple of months ago and I just know it’s back. I’ve actually got an apt today with my gyny doctor so hoping for a plan going forward. I too have the coil and was put on extra hormone tablets for 6 months post surgery but these were stopped so not sure if that’s the reason that mine might possibly b back. I had the injections and hrt prior to my surgery to try and shrink the lesions. I’m not gunna lie the side effects even with hrt weren’t pleasant but they massively helped with pain. I know lots of ppl that have had multiple surgeries and still not sorted unfortunately. Hope you get sorted
