Did anyone have a follow up within 6 weeks after excision surgery? I’ve seen on here it was 6 months and I’m worrying something is wrong if they’ve got me back sooner than others. I had my appendix out years ago and they got me back after a few weeks because they found a tumour on it and now I’m worried it’s happening all over again.
Also, I’ve noticed my symptoms have been worse since having the surgery a month ago and it’s really getting me down. I wondered if anyone else experienced this?
Thanks in advance

It’s normal for me to see my consultant 6-9 weeks post op. The 3 times I’ve had laps it’s always been that time frame. Think different consultants have different ways of doing things. Try not to worry it’s probably completely normal for that consultant. With regards to the pain it takes time, they say it can take months to fully heal but I am struggling with pain and it’s been 6 months x
Thanks for the reassurance. It’s not necessarily the pain, it’s more the hormone side of it. I feel really low and the sickness / IBS symptoms have been far worse and lasting days rather than hours. Sorry to moan, I just feel really fed up lately and I’m starting to worry things are never going to be any different. I almost had to cancel a work appointment yesterday because my bowel symptoms were so bad x
That’s how I’m feeling there’s no way out of the symptoms really. It’s either pain, fatigue, constipation or runs. Did you opt for coil or pill afterwards. This time I haven’t and I feel worse for it but I’m trying to conceive and really don’t feel it’s worth the pain x
Hi I’ve not but I’ve not heard great things so I’m reluctant to. I’m hoping things will settle down in the next few weeks/months as it’s been a bumpy ride so far xx
Hello, my first laparoscopy I was seen 4 weeks after surgery and it all went smooth but this time I am being seen 11 days after and he’s made a point of it being at the end of his clinic so he doesn’t have to rush but things have been anything but a smooth ride since the operation in terms of pain, bleeding and sickness. I don’t think anything was found out of the ordinary, it all sounded like it went okay but I think it’s so soon more to put my mind at rest. But 6 weeks is not too soon to worry about. I hope you begin to get some relief soon💛xx
