post lap bloating- 2 weeks on!

I just have a question, I had my laparoscopy nearly 3 weeks ago now. My bloating is still there and gets worse when I eat. When does this go down fully? Is this normal?

Hi Rosie , I'm 3 weeks post surgery and I still have the bloating as well. It has massively subsided but it's still there and I can't get my jeans done up still. In the leaflet I was given it said it can be like that for up to 6 weeks as the body heals.

I felt absolutely fine and was back to all my normal activities, until my period hit 4 days ago and it's been horrid, worse than before. ☹️ I had the coil fitted as well so don't know if this is something to do with it. How are you feeling?

Yeah I felt fine too! I actually haven’t had my period yet and I’m dreading it. The stiches and scabs are falling off my incisions now which is a little sore but they’re healing nicely. I hope you start to feel better soon! X
