hydrosalpinx query

I was diagnosed with Endo and Adeno 13 months ago. Following a further MRI scan a few weeks back, I've just received a letter from the hospital stating that it also showed a right-sided hydrosalpinx which has grown from 6.6 cm from a year ago to 9cm. I'm waiting for a follow-up phone call from them but I'm not sure what this means. Over the last year, have had increased bleeding during and in between periods (despite being put back on the pill four months ago), pain and recurrent UTIS. and Does anyone else have any experience of this? Should this mean I should consider surgery? Any info or guidance would be much appreciated. Many thanks

This means your fallopian tube has expanded. My fallopian tube was a haemosplanix - filled with blood. Hydro means fluid, but it could be blood they just aren’t seeing it.

Unfortunately, your tube will likely be damaged from this and will require surgery to at least drain it before it has a risk of rupture.

I had to have a total hysterectomy and oopherectomy in June 2022 at 35 after waiting 5 years for some relief! It’s a long an arduous fight, you definitely need to be sure of what you want, how long you wish to fight and what you need.
