Hello, I'm new to posting here and wondering about those of you who have had Gnrh injections how long did it take for your periods to return after your last injection?
I had my last injection on the 16th of September and as yet ( 10 weeks) no sign of my period starting though I have been bloated and tired. I read its supposed to be 6 to 10 weeks after the last injection that periods return.
Really interested in others experiences. xx

Hi Eliemb91, I had my last injection on 17th September and no sign of my periods either. I hope you get a good few replies so it might give us a better indication of when to expect it x x x
Yes good idea, would be good to know when yours finally comes. Luckily I haven’t got the hot flushing anymore stopped about 5 weeks ago. I have had a round of 3 monthly injections between April -June I had withdrawal bleed in July and a period in August. I then had surgery for Endo removal in August, I had another injection day after surgery and then last injection on 17th September. I was meant to have another injection in October but due to the side affects (hot flushing, low mood, fatigue etc) my gynaecologist decided not to give it to me.
I’m glad you checked with gynae, least it puts your mind at rest. I know it’s so strange wanting a period to come!! Mine was what I would describe as a normal period, just a dull ache. Last week I had some of my old symptoms like back ache and leg pain but nothing like it was before. Hope your feeling ok x x x
Congratulations!! That’s great to hear. I really hope it’s a pain free/symptom free as possible. Funny thing is I just got my period today too, so glad my appear to be regular again. Hope you've e had a nice Christmas x x x
Thanks lovely. Glad to hear your regular! Are the pains any better?
I’m sadly not pain free, I think it’s slightly better but that might be my wishful thinking still pretty bad. But nice to be home for Christmas being looked after by my mum xx
