Did your consultant suggest the copper coil? Usually it’s the Mirena they suggest, as the hormones are thought to help with managing endo symptoms. Many years before I was diagnosed I had a copper coil fitted, I really struggled with it and ended up having it removed a couple of months later as I just couldn’t get on with it. Good luck with it and sorry you’re in pain x

I don’t know if I have endo atm.. but I’m in alot of pain so I’m goign up to a&e now… maybe it is the coil .. I really hope it is.. I have had a lot of trauma to my cervix in august 2021 as I was in prolonged labour and then my baby died due to negligence … my health anxiety is so severe I convince myself I have a health condition.. then u March 2022 I had a still birn at 23 weeks… :( I just want to feel normal and happy again…

Hello Sara0102 , firstly I'm so sorry to hear of all the trauma you have been through, and the loss of your babies- I can't even begin to imagine. Whilst you are in A&E perhaps it's worth requesting a scan so they can see the position of your coil, as it possibly could have moved out of place which would be causing you pain? You have every right to request this and be firm that you suspect the coil could be causing the pain- don't settle just for prescribed pain killers! And don't ever worry about 'oversharing' - I don't think there's such a thing on here 😊 I hope you get seen to very soon and that they can relieve you of your pain. Sending love and healing thoughts x

hi there .. yes it’s been a rollercoaster.. I lost 2 baby’s in 20 months .. one was 3 days old my beautiful Angel who died due to hospital negligence… and my other was still born st 24 weeks because the same hosp messed up my cervix … well I have been to a&e and guess what ! They gave me cocodmal and sent me on my way.. I was in tears.. I then rang my gynaecologist who put my coil in.. hopefully they will call me back today.. I also found out I got diverticulitis 🤦🏻‍♀️ it sone thing after another …. I am so glad I joined this place didn’t know nice people still exist in this world ! :)

Gosh that's awful, I'm so sorry you've had to go through all of that. And I'm sorry you got the useless painkiller send off, it's so disappointing and absolutely not good enough. I hope your gynaecologist will have you examined quickly to determine what's going on with your coil and remove it if necessary. Me too- I honestly don't know what I'd do without this wider community! If you happen to be on instagram there are also lots of great endo / female health related accounts on there which I have learnt so much from. Some examples are endogram, endowhat and there's a brilliant book called How To Endo I've recently read by Bridget Husselwaite 😊 Wishing you all the best and hope things improve for you soon!

Hi there no need to apologise. A and E would have been worse yesterday with the nurse and ambulance strikes, so probably a best you left it until today. I hope they get you sorted out. We should not have to suffer like this x

no we shouldn’t … and the worst is it’s always the females nurses and docs that’s send u on ur way with painkillers…. Gets me so angry .. if that was me I would understand as I am a woman and I would try and help to the best I can…..
