my daughter who was 15 at the time had a lap after pestering docs for a year and don’t think they expected to find any endo even I was a bit hesitant but yes they found a significant amount on one of her ovaries which they removed so they put the coil in and she still has periods every 40/50 days and painful ones after a year I have referred her back to gynae after a scan showed no cysts which they thought she had developed. I just want to know is the coil supposed to stop her periods and why is all the pain still here can it grow back that fast? Or is the coil just not working?

Hi, I had the coil but didn't work in the way that it was hoped it would and still had alot of pain, we have had to look at alternative methods to try and control the bleeding and pain. Not sure with your daughter's age what they would suggest but I would say she needs to go back to the doctor's as she has given the coil a good chance to settle and work.I was told every period the scaring can grow back and guess everyone is different. Hope you and your daughter get some answers soon x
