I am finally having my diagnostic lap on Friday.... I am seeing a BCSG endo spealisits (as paid for that private but having procedure through nhs) Its been a longggggggggggggggggggggggggg road. Just waiti g for op was 20months but years and years of back and forth to gps with pelvic/abdo/bowel problems Endo highly suspected. I am now starting to get the usual nerves, nervous about being put to sleep nervous about what they will find what they wont find whats next! 🙏 for answers!

No they didnt think it was necessey at the time of my consutation, so I took that work however I have since saw your posts regarding this, he seemed pretty confident that hes removed and got rid of all endo found at the lap. He was a endo speacialist.

I assume you only had mild disease so hopefully you should recover soon.

you will be absolutely fine, i have had 7 of these procedures! usually they will try to remove any endo while they are in there. worst part of the recovery for me was the gas trying to come out so had painful shoulders for a few days. i hope you recover well and feel better after.

Thanks all for messages! 1 day post lap! It went well. I was sick a few times from anesthetic but it was all good the staff were fantastic and consultant was spot on i feel lucky that I had a endo speacialist do my lap.He found endo in between uterus and bowel and in pouch of douglas lucikly this hadnt all stuck so he was able to remove it all! Pleased with this and hoping that will be it now some relieve!!!

I have battled with this for years but luckily seem to have kept it at bay as I had contraceptive implant for many years, always told I had ibs and given busicopan when I had bad pains!!!!

Dont give up ladies you know your bodies push push push hopefully womens health and endometriosis will be taken much more seriously in the future!!! Xxxx

Following lap I am sore have 4 incision sites and the trapped gas is painful but taking peppermint tea and capsules trying to keep moving around gently and resting it really wasnt too bad at all x feel free to pm me if you would like any other info ! X
