What has helped you to prevent endo?

After the lap, my surgeon recommended I go on cerazette, but the last few days I have been getting really heavy bleeding. If it does continue I will reconsider other options as I believe 20% of women on cerazette experience heavy bleeding the whole time whilst on this contraceptive pill which leads to anemia and Iron deficiency which I already have so definitely doesn't seem like a good option if I do continue to bleed. Anything you can suggest at all? Or if you could let me know what has helped you so I can consider please? Thanks x

Hi ya, I haven’t had lap for endometriosis however did start cerazette end of October 2021, to help with episodes of flare ups, was having them monthly, had a heavy long bleed In March 2022, April 2022, May 2022 and June 2022 but nothing since that and no flare up either. Hope this helps a little for you

I am on Cerazette and have had 3 periods in one month, they are not heavy but the frequency I feel is excessive and they are still painful.

I was contemplating coming off it, where your periods up to June painful?

on the first period to next there was an 11 day gap and second to third a five day gap. Mines at start of each one yes was painful but the length was excessive, I didn’t feel comfortable with that at all. I’ve changed my diet also since then and if has helped immensely.

Me too, well 1 full and 2 light ones in 6 weeks. I have been taking Cerazette for 28 days so was hoping that it will settle down. How are you now? (3 months after posting inintial post)?

Did you stick with Cerazette? Did it settle? Hope you are ok. x

Hi there!

I did stick with it, I am not sure why but yes it’s starting to settle, I had a period within a normal time frame 30 days and now it’s been 25 days so far since becoming of last one.

However now having digestive problems with it, suffering with constipation which I have never had… so I may still come off it, but generally feeling ok. Going to give it another month. I also have lost weight so keeping an eye on that too.

It’s so hard to know what to do, I hope your find the best solution for you, we just need to keep checking in with our bodies, they let us know 🙏🏻

Thank you for your reply. 😊Movicol can help with constipation. You can get it over the counter in pharmacies and can take it with most medications. x

Thank you for the steer, I am unsure to take more medication to mitigate other medication and then have other side effects but I will look into it, thank you 😊
