Hi allĀ Hope your all doing well just after a bit of advice really but donāt want to make this long. Ā So I have serve endo and am waiting surgery for hysterectomy and possible bowel resection . Ā I have been on waiting list since 2021 and have had 2 pre ops . Ā My last physical examination was done in February 2021 . Ā In the last 2 months I have a new pain in my back and itās extremely painful I am bleeding between periods but itās not a period itās a different kind of blood. Ā I have now been bleeding for over 20 days and accompanied with the back ache which Ā is really having an impact on me walking for more than 5 mins. (My back just freezes and walking becomes so painful I have to stop rest and walk so slowly) Ā I have mentioned it to the consultants secretary but not had any response , is it just another part of the condition or is this something new. Ā Any advice would be helpful my gp just offered me more pain killers and said back ache is part of endo, but this back ache is so different to the one I get during a period and ovulation ā¹ļø

Hi
Sorry the Drs arenāt being helpful. I take it bowel Endo has shown on a scan?
Iād suggest going back to your GP and doing a UTI and stool test, so you can rule out any infection. It can be part of it, but important to rule out other things. Unfortunately Drs get too blinkered and forget UTI/infection is common with Endo as well.
speak to admissions and find out when op is and ask about cancellations. Keep the pre op up to date just in case.
š¤ you arenāt waiting long but you need to chase a bit these days.
Hi yes bowel endo showed up on scan, back pain got so bad that I could not move so called Gp luckily my GP was on holiday and the lovely locum GP has arranged for me to get blood tests and X-ray done today . She also said she will book another scan and get in touch with my consultant at the hospital. So fingers crossed I get this sorted . She has also prescribed me with some pain relief that I can use for endo and back pain . Thank you x
hello Faith star.. I have no advice for you. However we are in similar positions and I didnāt want to scroll by without saying youāre not alone. Iām so sorry you are in this position. I too have severe back pain (left hand side). Gp doesnāt really understand it, just thinks Iām the endo problem girl and said the same to me that itās my endometriosis and what is happening with my consultant? Well nothing is happening in the NHS because even with an active severe case they donāt care and you canāt get in until the end of November to be seen. Iām not NHS bashing I know itās due to funding and there are some amazing people in the NHS. Xx
Hi sorry your feeling like I am . This is just getting so difficult and it really feels like the waiting times are just getting longer and longer . I have a X-ray and bloods booked for today so hopefully might get some answers. Sending u lots of hugs and hope gets some dates soon xx
