I've been een diagnosed with endometriosis through laparscorpy surgery last Nov.
Three weeks ago for went for a ultrasound scan , it showed that endometriosis is growing back again. At the moment it's 1cm to 2cm. I've been advised to go on the desogestrel mini pill for three months trial and go back in three months for another scan.
I've been prescribed cerelle mini pill, I am 44 yrs old. I am abit concerned about taking cerelle at my age, I know it sounds silly, really concerned about the side effects? Is anyone on cerelle? Has it helped with your endometriosis? Any bad side effects?
Any advice and guidance 🙏please.
Thanks 😊

It can make you blled excessivley at the start but I took a double dose (as advised by gynae) and that stopped that and stopped my periods completely.
It does stop periods so you feel better. But it doesn't stop the endo growing at all so the side effect is you feel better but the endo actually gets worse as it's growth is masked by lack of periods.
I think it alos slightly increases risk of breast and ovarian cancer but only very slightly. You would be better to have endo excised and then take it. It has helped a lot iwth my pain but now I've stopped it endo has really got worse.
Hi, did you start to take Cerelle? If so how did it work out for you? I have just started to take it to hopefully help lighten or stop my periods as I am anemic. I have adenomyesis x
