TENS machines

Hello. Does any one have experience of using a TENS machine in pain reduction?

I’m interested to know: does it work for Endo?

And is multi-point stimulation better than one?

Thanks.

Hi there, I'm in the same position as you, trying to figure out if it's worth buying one.

My endo nurse keeps trying to get me to buy one as she says for some women she treats it's extremely helpful and has allowed them to lower pain medication, although for others it has no effect at all 😅

I wish it was possible to rent them out to try before you buy.

Thank you for replying.💚 I think I’m coming to the view that it’s worth trying. It’s better to have more diverse pain strategies to employ than sticking always to drugs. So I reckon I agree with your nurse. The next question is, which of the many models? 🙂

Hey! I’ve just ordered an Oovi on the recommendation of a friend who finds it helps her a great deal. They have a 60 day money back guarantee, so if you don’t get on with it you can return it for a full refund 🙏

Thank you. Yes we now have an oovi which is on the whole helpful.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you are in pain.

I currently use the Easyathome Tens machine from Amazon. Definitely helps me to ease the pain :) The price is also reasonable at just under £30. Hope this helps!

I’ve also got another TENS machine called a MYOBI, it’s good as it also has 3 heat settings. The vibration is a little noisy.

Good luck!

I used one all the time before surgery. It really helps with the pain. It was one of the best things I could of purchased.

I use one all the time and find it really helpful- my endo centre gives them for free, they call it renting them but you don’t have to pay or give it back 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wouldn't be without mine, theyre a lifesaver. I was sceptical too at first but it has 100% been worth the investment. I've got an ovira and also a livia. The livia lasts longer battery wise but customer service is terrible. I'd recommend the ovira. Not cheap but I've had mine over a year and I think you have a 90 day return on them.

I use an ovira tens machine. I swear by it. I need less prescription medicine and can wear it out of the house at it is very small.

I bought the Livia, tens machine about 6 months ago, it’s designed specifically for period pains. It was expensive, around £200 but worth every penny! I’m still mad at myself for not buying one sooner, after 10+ years of debilitating pain I’ve only had one flare up where the pain was too severe that it didn’t help but all my other times it’s been great and makes getting on with the day so much easier.

I sound like a paid ad but I honestly love my little machine! Definitely recommend

Hope this helps x

I have an easy at home one from Amazon. I find it very useful and it only cost £25. Good luck 💛

I found the much cheaper one from Tens ( via Amazon) at least as good as and more reliable than the Ovira.

HI ,

i brought a tens machine from Holland & Barret, they have a range online but honestly have felt agitated by it. it sends kind of small sharp shocks where you apply the pads and so when experiencing a lot of pain and sensitivity during a period / endo flare up this overwhelms me and so i haven't found it enjoyable to use.

just something to consider. hope this helps

Hi there. I’ve had one recommended by pain management and my endo nurse. I was sceptical too but would give anything a try to be honest. I bought mine from Lloyds pharmacy, it was £15.00 in the sale. I believe it’s £20.00 usual price. It’s a dual one so has 4 pads but can use 2 if you wish. It’s been a god send. As soon as I feel it coming on I put the tens on and it definitely helps. I hope you find some relief. ❤️
