Hiya! I have... I find it comforting, although it doesn't do much for my pain. Sorry that probably sounds weird! But I find it worth having, even if I feel better for 15minutes! X

Thanks Nayjay.....I know what you mean, any relief is a bonus! I'm trying to cut down on ibuprofen so thought might give the tens a go....

I know a lot of people find they get really good relief from tens machine, so if you can afford it then I would say have a go! Good luck with it xxx

Hi Winniewoo,

I use a TENS machine and think it's a great distraction from feeling uncomfortable and sore.

I do find it's more effective if I start to use it when my pain isn't too bad, and tends to distract me when the pains are getting worse.

They are well worth a try, experiment with where the pads are most effective for you, I find mine are most effective the lower down I place them....

Good luck

Sorry I have only seen your post today.

I have used a TENS machine for my endo pain for a few years now, it doesn’t really get rid of the pain exactly; it works like more of a distraction and I can feel myself relaxing as soon as I turn it on. So because we get in the cycle of making our pain worse because the pain makes us tense, it can be a big help.

Now for the interesting bit, because you are suffering from a chronic condition you don’t actually have to pay the VAT on this kind of a product so as long as you purchase it from a reputable company such as: tenscare.co.uk. (There plenty of others this is just the one I have used) All you do is fill in a form at the point of purchase with your details and diagnosed condition and that’s it. Personally I always buy the TENS machines that are recommended for endo / pp sufferers as the machines themselves tend to be smaller and easier to have on all the time. I do find that as soon as I turn the machine off the pain comes back almost instantly.
