Hi girls I'm just wondering with endometriosis. Has anyone else had alot fibroids in there breasts? It's really lumpy bad really sore also they are shrinking because of the lumps and bumps. I know it's not to fo with the hormones because u can see how the bumps is it is very clear and really bumpy bad has anyone else had this problem? If so did u go gp and have scans? What was the out come? And what is the results? I'm really scared and nervous. And feel embarrassed if I go gp about this as I need to have some reassurance.

Hi nikkimatt2019, when I was about 18 I started to develop lumps in my breast. I got them checked out immediately and it turned out they were just build ups of fatty tissue due to hormonal changes, linked to the contraceptive pill I was on at the time. I understand it is so scary but my GP was so friendly and reassuring and it's not worth the risk of not getting it checked out in case it is something more sinister. If you need someone to talk to please message me. Good luck.

Hi! Just to caveat I haven't been diagnosed with endometriosis (although I believe I have it)

I have the same issue as you. It can be incredibly painful. I have been to my GP before who referred me to the breast clinic about a particular lump. The Breast Clinic doctor said I had particularly lumpy breasts, and suggested I start taking evening primrose oil. It hasn't made my breasts any less lumpy but I do think it helped with the pain.

There's definitely nothing embarrassing about getting your breasts checked though, just to make sure everything's ok, and for advice to get rid of the pain!

Hi, do go and get them checked, we have to look after our body’s as a whole with this condition and like Oonagh_ says it could just be due to hormones, I have fibrocystic breasts and I am nearing the menopause, I was referred to a breast surgeon who suggested I get mammograms every 2 years up to 50 and yearly after that - I am now 52 and I do not get pain with them anymore.

We have to be advocates for our own health and nip and issues in the bud so to speak or you will make your self Ill worrying. I believe this type of condition go hand in hand with endometriosis as I have had nodules on my thyroid, (removed) and various ganglion cystic areas on my body. Better to have a baseline and know they are okay and go from there. Best of luck. 😊
