Hi looking for advice I had scans due to extra pain etc in womb pelvic ovaries area. Long story short my results came back on my "right side ovaries I have cystic ovaries bleeding " (which the doctor said nothing can be done this happens but I read in NHs they should keep eye on this as can end it dangerous and seriously) I keep hearing od pops it hurts in this area. Also my left ovaries I think it's polyps not sure how to explain that again they won't be doing anything with any if this. Has anyone had these problems what advice can u give plz? Do they need to take this seriously I'm worries and scared as I have 2 year old toddler if I'm not around they only have me I have no friends near me or family which these are hardly anyone I have so we only have each other. I don't kmow what else to do need serious advice do I go back and push them plz anyone that's had this plz give me ur experience 🙏 thanks n&j

Endometriosis advice

I’m sorry you are struggling! My best advice is to keep fighting x
You need to see a different doctor. Unfortunately you have to get used to pushing for action. It is wrong that there is nothing they can do and yes you are correct it can be serious if you have ovarian cysts. x
Thank u I thought this was the case but wasn't sure as all they keep saying is I'm paranoid and over thinking "worst case scenario " xx
It’s so annoying we have to push so hard to be taken seriously. I had large cysts on my ovaries and went to A&E and the doctor told me to go home. It was only when another dr said I had to have emergency surgery that he changed his mind. I dread to think what could have happened. I hope you can get seen to. x
Get a second opinion as am pretty sure your GP's advice is inappropriate. You may have chocolate cysts and they are a sign of Endo. You don't say whether you'd like more children but that's often a factor in how advice is presented or sometimes assumptions are made.
You need to educate yourself fast to properly be able to advocate for yourself . To that end try Katie Edmonds book , Heal Endo and Nice Guidelines - know the protocols and your rights for start points.
I found that frankly it was virtually impossible to get heard even though am educated, medic, white middle class ( so in theory if anyone was going to be heard it's someone from my cohort ) unless I had a hard staring man who insisted they do something and it's not okay to dismiss it . On this I choose instead to not die on the field of my feminism because I need the care . It's not right, it's shameful but we need proper care now not in a hundred years time.
What scans did you have done? Do you have any idea how big the cyst(s) pr polyp(s) are as the guidance for treatment does depend on the size incase told this by gynecology team in the east of England. The info may be available on the nhs app in your info as mine is on there with the exact sizes in cm. The best advice I can give you is get a second opinion as you should see gyne if you get push back I would go to a&e and get in the hospital that way, not the most practical thing I know and it shouldn't be like this but sometimes that's the only way to get access to the services that are needed. Good luck and please keep us updated on your journey x
