Help
Hi Wheels84 sorry your struggling with your moods I’ve had Endo for about 4 years now , had a laparoscopy in 2018 which helped a lot with the pain but did nothing for my mood , I take sertraline 100mg and it helps my mood a little (I literally couldn’t even function if I didn’t take them so have no choice)
Iam about to start gnrh injections which put you into a medically induce menopause ( so in theory stop periods and should stop pms/pmdd )
I’m hoping this helps my mood and anxiety because iam really struggling and have been off work now for 4 months
Have you tried anything else ie the mirena coil? Depo provera injections ?
Big hug
Tina
Hi Tina thanks so much for your reply babe really appreciate it!! I just feel lost in the sense my doctor hasn’t a clue what to do! He’s offered me surgery but I’ve heard all sorts with that… then painkillers the pill and the coil…. In all honesty with the doc he is not confident that anything works other then painkillers…. It dosent give me any confidence in what he’s talking about, it’s made me go into really bad depression with it all as I don’t want to carry on any longer…. So he wants me to go on anti depression tablets….. am just so lost with it all but I will mention them few points!! THANKYOU again Emma
Hello Wheels84. I was dx with endo 9 years ago via robotic lap which was also to remove adhesions and preserve my fertility. The endo pain came back right away and I’ve suffered with endo since age 14, now 42. I also have Sjogrens disease which effects my joints. I never had low moods before but about 2 years ago I got so low I felt like ending it so I reached out up my doctor and I saw a counselor (once). Counselor was helpful she has endo too. And doctor prescribed citalopram which took time to kick I. But works great. I just feel like me, not numb or woozy. I honestly wish I hadn’t waited so long to get help. Looking back my mood was probably an issue for a good 10 years. Most people with chronic pain and medical issues will experience mood issues at some time and for some of us it can get very bad. Definitely reach out to your doctor for help. You are not alone. Sending positive vibes your way 😎
Hi Emma , just wondering …. When you say doctor ( I assume you mean your gp) I think your gp should be referring you to see a gynaecologist who specialises in endometriosis help
Regarding your mood have you tried things along the herbal route ie
St. John’s wort ,5htp, SAM-E, etc
Just wondering are you perimenopausal? Sorry don’t know your age!
Just wondering if it’s your hormone levels causing your mood issues
maybe your need Hrt?
Sorry if this is not helping …. Just thinking of things that may help

Hey Emma , how are u doing ? Xx
I’m struggling with this also but I am stuck because of a rather complex medical history I am unable to take anything with hormones or anything like antidepressants or the mini pill
I’ve basically been left!
I find getting out and walking a little helps
We just need some better weather for it.
I also feel calmer if I stick to a clean diet
No gluten no dairy etc (not always easy)
