Headaches post hysterectomy

Looking for advice!

I’m just 4 weeks post total hysterectomy (ovaries removed) and have started to experience bad headaches. Has anyone else experienced similar?

I’ve spent roughly 3 years (on and off) in medical menopause with prostap and tibilone hrt previously and did have the odd one.

Since restarting the hrt in the last 2 weeks I’ve had 3 or 4 really bad, migraine type headaches and I’m wondering whether this is common with having ovaries removed or whether I should speak to the doc about the hrt.

I get that it’s early days and my hormones will be all over the place so just wondering if anyone has had similar experience and how it was dealt with.

Hi, I've just read your post. How are you feeling now? I hope the headaches went and that everything has settled down for you.

Hello, yes the headaches settled down after a couple of weeks. I did see my doctor and they checked me out and there was nothing unusual going on. She thought it was just my body's way of dealing with the operation. After a good few weeks rest it all settled and now Im feeling great! Thanks for asking.
