Post hysterectomy stories please?

Hello All 😊

Today I’ve signed consent for ovary/uterus removal/bowel resection.

I’ve had 2 routine laps followed by emergency lap for appendicitis in last 5 years after initial diagnosis for stage 4 endo. I’m planning on bio-identical hrt to avoid running into breast cancer issues as on yearly mammograms (brac gene in family!)

I’m worried about what menopause means for my love life and if I will find relations with my husband as satisfying - in short will I still be able to orgasm? I hear mixed stories 😐

Any advice gratefully received 🙏🏼

My libido took a massive drop after about 4 months post op. Now on Testrol gel and seems to be as good as ever, more enjoyable and intense.

Not seen bio-identical available here but on the combined patch.

Did you have ovaries and uterus out and left with cervix?

No cervix, whole lot gone.

Wouldn’t say so, may take a couple of months for any HRT etc to balance out. Not sure if keeping cervix but removal can lead to a lot of dryness, esteogen pesseries for a couple of months rectifies that. However, no pesky periods to give you the excuse not too! 😆
