laparoscopy findings-what’s your thoughts?

Hi endo warriors. I had a laparoscopy last week and my results/follow up chat today with my consultant. Basically the background has been chronic pain and bowel issues for over 2 1/2 years and was referred to a gynaecologist in summer 2019. Scans etc showed fibroids and one pedunculated (4cm) of which they were suggesting Utrine fibroid embolisation but this wasn’t possible due to the MRI showing it being in ‘broad contact’ with the sigmoid colon. I was referred back to the gynaecologist who then said I probably needed a hysterectomy and referred me to another consultant gynaecologist. After seeing that consultant she was concerned I had stage 4 endo and urgently did the laparoscopy (within 6 weeks of appointment). The findings revealed the following;

- destruction of endo lesion of peritoneum

- diathermy see endo on left uterosacral ligament

I also have 2 fibroids 3cm and 4cm (consultant said it wasn’t near the colon when looked at through the laparoscopy). They haven’t treated the fibroids.

Basically the consultant thinks it’s early stages endo (but this is second lap I’ve had-first one 6 years ago with treatment of endo) I thought any size endo found in rectovaginal area was deep infiltrating? What are your experiences and thoughts?

Thanks
