Prostap SR info

I had my first Prostap SR 3 days ago. Reading other peoples comments about side effects has made me a bit nervous of what to expect. I'd be really grateful if anyone could share their experience having Prostap, of side effects and whether it helped them or not? Thanks

Hi. Hope you are feeling ok. My experience with prostap was a positive one. I had 6 months of monthly injections without hrt whilst I recovered from surgery and before ivf. I was expecting it to be terrible after reading up about it but after the withdrawal bleed all I got was the very occasional hit flush, for the first time in years I was pain free and didn’t even need a paracetamol let alone the 29 tablets I was taking prior to surgery. I know I was lucky to not have more side effects as the nurse told me every month. Hope you go ok on it. Xx

I oersonally hated it. Didn’t help my pain and I still bled through it. Had all the side effects despite HRT. Had my last one in Nov 2020 yet still have terrible hot flushes and headaches. It also made my Vit D go right down (normal range is 75+, mine was 19 and despite hard work, is now only at 30)

Hi, I had Prostap injection 3 wks ago and having kilovance to counter act side effects. I have pain all month, possible fibroid, Ashermans and endo. Waiting for operation, which might be early next year if I’m lucky. I’ll let you know if stops pain and side effects are minimal. Been in a temporary menopause in the past and stopped all my pain. Hope works for you. 🤞

Hi Becky,

I have had my second monthly Prostap injection yesterday. I have not feel any changes with my pain yet and the only side effects that I am having are hot flushes ( I hope it stays like this ). I was very worried about side effects as well but we have to try it to see how it goes ☺️ Wish you the best 🙂
