hi can any1 give me any advice due to start prostap injections thurs! but not sure about them has any1 been on them before side effects etc?

Hi

I'm currently on my 3rd injection, the injection puts your body into temporary menopause so the side effects are hot flashes night sweats, can effect ur mood - make you low etc

I've had all the side effects and it's not helped with your pain

Have they explained it all to you - they didn't me I got more info from here

HI there thanks so much for replying I got my first injection yesterday today am feeling flu like symptoms tiredness and dizzy has it not helped how server was ur endo when u had ur lap done?xx

It's helped my pain intermittently- I've not been diagnosed yet they gave me prostap first I'm back seeing consultant on Monday so going to push for lap as I want to know what's going on now

Hi I had my first lap done in December through the lap they couldn't remove any tissue as it was all over my left ligament, and to remove it they would have to remove that whole ligament. which they said was a huge operation and not a root they wanted to consider yet. after the lap I rested really well for a full week! I was very uncomfortable very gasy aches and pains up around my ribcage chest etc my wounds were sore too but not extreme pain or anything. My stitches didn't come out until end of January I didn't feel myself or well again really until they came out. I have been keeping very well but i didnt really feel back to myself until march time to be honest.Although everyones body and emotions are different and i have been feeling so worried and stressed about starting my treatment .I still suffer with severe pain when I have my monthly but i started my first prostap 3 injection yesterday. Today I am extremely tired I slept 8 hrs last night and I just woke up from 4 hrs sleep and am feeling like I have flu like symptoms so it seems the injection is starting to kick in now .... I hope this helps are you due to get a lap done?

it was by a gyncologist just whats the endo centre I have never heard of it before xx

hi read ur post on your page about the pouch f douglas... is it bad where I have it then am a bit lost now and panicking about it

I have severe pain every month iam in bed 2 days before my period sick drained and exhausted I would have pain the week before also and would have cramps in the middle of the month.. when I have my monthly I have vomiting and fever dizziness and faint spells .. I have suffered with my periods since the age of 11 with my gp shunning my pain and telling me its genes and bad periods only even when I asked to be reffered to a specialist he responded by saying well if you insist but I personally think its only your period .... which annoys me because it has really taken over my life personal work and social and I just want it sorted once and for all ...thank you for your posts xxx

hi lee I hope you get sorted soon the doctor explained injections slightly to me not in dept though even when I went back and told me where the found the endo they only said its severe on left ligiament next time I will start asking more questions xx

Hope your ok now. I have had many side effects after Prostap and wondered how you are?
