Hi!!

Hi I am on them at the moment , had my second jab last week. I found that the side effects started around 2 weeks after the first injection, mainly hot flushes, tiredness and effected my mood, but I did also have a bleed/period after two weeks which is normal.
I hope that you find the prostap ok and the side effects are not too bad. x
Hi, I had my first injection just over 3 weeks ago. I havent had any side effects yet but the injection was a week before my period was due. So have just had that period (which was hell and made it longer) I asked the nurse at the time of the injection and she said it does vary from person to person, some feel the side effects earlier and some later. I am just waiting for them to suddenly arrive 😂. Hope the injection helps you and you don't suffer too much with any side effects.
Hi, I had my 1st injection in Thursday. Wiped me out yesterday, slept for hours and feel very tired today? Also, feel headachy with back ache. My period is also due so not sure if its a combination. Im just taking it day by day at the moment x
Hi, hope you’re feeling ok on it so far and that you don’t have the experience I had on Prostap. First month you’ll probably feel the effects of adjustment to the change it brings on. I had terrible dizziness and fatigue, thumping heartbeat, blood sugar fluctuations. Then for me at end of month 2 new ones started, terrible joint and muscle pain (like rheumatoid arthritis!) struggled to walk down stairs. I did complete 6 months treatment on it but stopped in May, the pain from the side effects wasn’t worth it.
Not everyone has the same experience though, but it’s good to know what the side affects are so you can keep an eye on it. Xx
Hi! Yeah i’m so fatigued, like i could just sleep and i feel so so nauseous im hoping they ease up soon x
I had the same and stopped after 6 months . Only tried the Tibolone for one month as that worried me too much . Plus point of Prostap was 7 months so far of almost total liberation from horrendous and irregular periods . But the joint and bone pain also worries me too much to carry on with it . Insomnia has also been a constant . If you can cope with the side effects as they happen, or are happy on the HRT I guess give it a chance . I reluctantly did 6 months ( 2 x 3monthly injections) but decided to stop after that due to not liking the Tibolone side effects.
Oh the initial mood swings were awful but quickly subsided so don’t worry if that happens just try to ride it out xxx
Hi Tamz,I've just finished a 6 month course of Prostap. Are you taking tibolone too (add back HRT)? That should minimise the side effects as I didn't get any night sweats. I did get very low mood for a couple of days about 3 days after the first 2 injections but since then it's been fine xx
my period came yesterday but the pain is unbearable. Been awake all night. Took Zapain, Ibroufen and Oramorph and nothing has touched the pain. Had to phone into work sick. Got GP appointment this afternoon. I only had the injection Thursday so wondering is it has caused a flare up because the pain is very intense.
