Hi I’m currently waiting for my op date as need to be put to sleep when I have it done as it was to painful when they tried to do my biopsy awake. There doing mine due to my lining of my womb being slightly thicker then what it should be.

Did they not tell you why they we’re doing one?

My consultant wouldn’t say much to me just that they want to rule out cancer and that it’s unlikely to be that due to me being 36.

Also had a scan and they said the changes they are seeing on the scan are what you would see with endometriosis.

So they may well just be doing it to rule things out before they do other test. Xx

Yeah she did say If she can’t get it done they’ll do it when I’m asleep, I’m managed to hold out but it was something I wouldn’t want to go through again! She just said we need to do this to rule out things but didn’t go into much detail about it all and I didn’t realise you can’t tell if endo through this?!

Just a bit confused about it all, I’m sure I’ll find out soon enough what’s going on if anything!

My last scan I had cysts back and then told they was small so not to worry about them. Im currently on a 3 month injection to see if that stops the bleeding and pain as it can apparently it can shrink endo ?!

I haven’t heard about the thicker lining of the womb, does that cause you any issues?

I’m glad your having it done asleep! Seems the best way to get it done!

Xx

I’ve had heavy painful periods from day 1 when I was younger I thought this was normal obviously not. I have 4 children and since have my last child nearly 3 years ago the pain has ramped up some and bleedings got heavier to the point the first few days I’m on I can’t really go far from home as I leak quite bad and the tiredness is unreal.

It’s also causing problems with my bowl and bladder. All my symptoms are pointing to endo. I have thought for a while now that I have endometriosis but every time I went to the gp I just got dismissed.

My mum also suffered with it years ago too so runs in the family.

And no you can’t tell endo through this. MRI scans can but they can miss it so I’ve heard from a lot of people.

I’m new to this so still learning.

I also know a biopsy can pick up if you have high hormone levels too.

How long have you had problems for? And is yours just heavy bleeding or other symptoms too?

Hello

Sorry to bother you.. I find myself in a similar situation at the moment.. I had the biopsy Tuesday and I will have to wait for the results. I have heavy bleeding and pain.. unbearable pain. Can I ask you what kind/type of injection they suggested to you ?

The doctor that did my biopsy prescribed some tablets for 3 months but I’ve been reading about them and there are too many side effects..

Thank you

I have heard it can settle a little after children then come back almost twice as bad! It definitely sounds like endo! What are your bowel and bladder symptoms?

So where are you at with finding out now?

I’m 26 and have suffered since I started my period at 13, I change my own mind half the time thinking it is it isn’t endo! Keep getting pushed here and there.. I hope now I’m finally on a path to finding out what is happening! I have always been irregular with periods because of contraception I think but they when I do they are seriously painful, I get bad legs and back pain which makes me just stay in bed! I’m constantly tired as find it hard to sleep! Bloating pains are so sore pretty much everyday! Have a few other things too!

I had a laparoscopy surgery back in 2019 and removed a large bleeding cyst but since then I have still suffered and i think it’s definitely got worse now, I’m currently on decapeptyl injections 1 every month for 3 months which basically puts me into menopause and just had the biopsy done Tuesday.

I’m still learning so much myself about it all! It’s nice to be able to speak to others too about it all and how your feeling!

Xxx
