Discharge post endometrial ablation.

I'm 20 days post endometrial ablation and mirena coil for "Carrie level" periods. Everything has been fine so far, just wondering though when the watery/ yellowish discharge ends, it's far less than it was and I'm switching to panty liners. Those of you that have had it, how long did it take to stop? X

Hi Nikki. Mine lasted about 6 weeks. The first month was the worst and I was also really itchy. I was convinced that I had an infection or bacterial vaginosis but tests came back clear. Thankfully it all settled down and I didn't need to wear pads anymore. Hang on in there, it will get better.

Ah thank you 😊 it's annoying but I guess a small price to pay. Did you find it helped your periods too?.

My ablation actually failed and my bleeding got worse but apparently that only happens in about 2-3% of cases.

Oh were you bleeding during that 6 weeks?

Yeah sorry. Watery discharge for about 6 weeks and then the bleeding started and lasted for 60 days. He said my situation was uncommon though and I'm 49 so that prob didn't help either
