How to find strength to go through a second Lap :(

Not looking forward for it but so far it seems like I'll have to have a second Lap since my first lap they didn't do anything but a biopsy and a cyst draining.

Not looking forward for it a all...the worst part wasn't even the lap or the team. The worst was the ward, catheter and kidney stent that wasn't removed in 2w as advised. It was horrible to have the stent in...loads of back pain, pain going to the loo, and infections. Horrible....

How do you ladies find strength to go for next laparoscopy?

I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with your first lap. I felt the same before going through my second surgery but try to remember the benefits/reasons you’re having the surgery in the first place, although it might be horrible to go through in the short term it could make a really positive difference to your life in the long term. What is it you’re having done in a second surgery? Stay strong, this is a horrible disease but things do get better xx

The fertility team needs the ovaries to be moved back to their natural and original position. So basically the endo team will be remove adhesions and doing all the work they couldn't do on my last lap.

Sorry to hear that happened. I think its important to change the trigger, at the moment the operation is associated with pain and bad feeling. Try think of and concentrate on to what good things you will gain from the operation once you've recovered.

Remind yourself that there's no guarantee the things that happened after your last lap will happen again.

Maybe try a pros and cons list, hopefully you'll see there's more to gain than lose.

The other good thing is to write down your feelings as this hopefully will help process them.

Good luck and I hope it goes well.
