My last appointment with GP went surprisingly well. She listened, logged more symptoms and even told me that my symptoms link directly to Endo. She sent another urgent referral to Gynae, and now I have an appointment next Friday with a hospital out of my city.. GP also said that the only way to confirm it is laparoscopy, but am I able to request one?
If anyone has any advice on what to say/do/ask to get them to take me seriously, would be very much appreciated. I just want them to not just throw me off and tell me that the pain and my symptoms are all in my head.
Thank you for all your continued support!

Just say that your GP and you both think you have endometriosis and you would like a laparoscopy to confirm as soon as possible. You have to ask directly for everything or they do tend to fob you off unfortunately. It depends how good they are but they all seem to have a fob off agenda unless you push for things. Good luck in getting somewhere! XX
No problem, you're welcome! Try to be quietly insistent on the laparoscopy.Don't forget, there isn't any other test that can diagnose endometriosis. Hopefully your GP has sent a decent letter to back you up.
If possible, take someone with you who can back up how much you are suffering.
I personally was fobbed off for years so I know how easy it is for that to happen.
The urgent referral should say all the reasons why she thinks you've got endometriosis. You wouldn't be getting urgent referral accepted at the moment if she didn't give good reasons so hopefully you'll get listened to properly. It's a real shame you'll be on your own. Try and be brave as possible. It's very difficult I appreciate XX
