Hi all. I get incredibly nauseous and often spend hours throwing up around the 2nd/3rd day of my period. This happens almost every month without fail. Has anyone experienced this and know what causes it? Or can offer any advice for remedies? I take anti indigestion tablets, etc, but the feeling doesn’t go until I’ve completely emptied my stomach. Thanks in advance x

Endo & nausea
Ask your GP to prescribe Omeprazole. That helped me. Before that I tried Peppermint or Ginger tea, lemonade and green tea helps with the nausea.
Just a thought, it could be hormone related migraine that comes at the start of your cycle. Migraines dont always include headaches, it took me years to realise I sometimes have migraines that are just nausea and can last all day. Buccastem and buclizine (Migraleve) are really helpful to prevent vomiting and available OTC , but have a chat with your GP first. There are other anti emetics they can prescribe or you can look at natural remedies like ginger root and peppermint. If its hormonal the other thing to try is balancing your blood sugar levels and making sure you are well hydrated, as that can cause nausea
I do get severe nauseous without vomiting every cycle. I didn’t in my twenties but from early30’s until now 41 I do. I haven’t quite worked out what works best for me yet but I do try to avoid fried foods at start of my cycle and throughout. Small easy to digest meals. Plus the mint tea as another person commented. I’m guessing it’s hormone related but I again I haven’t quite addressed this myself yet. Just wanted you to know you’re not alone and nausea can be a common symptom with endo.
