Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any solutions for nausea. I get nausea ALL the time and it impacts my work as a teacher and I find myself cancelling all of my plans which sucks as I'm only 23. There are no tablets that I can take for it as nothing on script seems to help me. Ive seen numerous doctors about this and my gyno says its because of the inflammation from my endo in my stomach but can't suggest anything for me to take. I take ginger tablets all the time and that only sometimes helps me but I can't seem to stomach ginger tea or peppermint tea when I'm feeling so sick. Ive also gone gluten free but that hasn't helped my nausea. Does anyone have any life changing ideas? I hate having that pit in my stomach.

Thank you!

Have you given accupressure bands a go. You can get them at chemists they are quite good xx

Yeah I tried them when I went overseas 3 years ago! They helped for my travel sickness but when i put them on at home they don’t seem to do much. Thank you for your suggestion though I might give them a go again! X

Sorry you are experiencing such nausea.

It Sounds counterintuitive but can you eat whilst you feel like this? Arrowroot has always helped me (rich tea biscuits - but prob not for you if you are gf), also salad veg like cucumber and celery I think it’s something to do with high water content and mild taste.

I have a friend who swears by acupuncture for nausea - not the bands but actual acupuncture or acupressure sessions.

I hope you find something to help!

Thank you for your reply! I’ll definitelu give those a go! With acupuncture do they go regularly or just when they feel sick?

I agree with maisymac about the salad veg, I’ve also found recently watermelon cubes help, when I’m feeling beyond sick and have been vomiting I eat watermelon cubes to rehydrate me, pump a little bit of sugar into my system and help get rid of the horrid taste, freezing them and sucking on them like ice cubes is also really nice x

Hi - the only thing that I would suggest (although I know you can't take ginger) is GINGER! It's such a good relief for me when I feel sick or generally under the weather. I slice some fresh ginger into thin slices, add just under half a small tbls of pepper (which is also good for sickness), and add a little bit of cinemon (for taste - not necessary) put all of this into a pan full of water and once it boils let it simmer for about 10/15 mins. Then pour a tbls of honey into your mug and squeeze a little bit of lemon into your mug (also really good for sickness) and add your water and mix! Hope this helps x
