I’ve had ablation done in September and started to get ibs systems again which disappeared once I had my bowel shaved. I feel like I’ve eaten gluten when I know I haven’t. I’ll be gutted if this hasn’t worked as next step is a hysterectomy and I don’t want anymore surgery
Is it coming back?: I’ve had ablation done... - Endometriosis UK
Is it coming back?

Hi I had ablation last year and it hasn’t worked for me either. Told I will know it has worked within 3 months.I see some people get ablation several times but I got told they would do it once and failure of the op means hysterectomy.
It’s sucks doesn’t it as it works out for some people and not others.
How old are you?
I keep thinking hysterectomy may change life for the better x
I know how you feel 🥲 so much has happened ? Long story and now I have to surgery and I am also dreading. Sometimes I feel when we try to explain our dilemma to the Consultant or other Members of profession, do they really understand of our situation and pains ?
I had an endometrial ablation whilst undergoing a laparoscopic op to remove endo (I didn’t ask for it or know the surgeon had performed it till I came round!) and it didn’t do a thing for my, neither procedure did in fact, and my pain came back with a vengeance.
