Really? I didn't know that, I had it 10 years ago, had it lasered and been fine, had a baby etc, now it's come back and it's worse - I didn't put the 2 together but now you mention it yes I would agree, mine definitely seems worse :( slightly different symptoms too so maybe it's because it's in a different place?

This hasn't been my experience. I'm sorry it's been yours. I had surgery in 2003 and then no problems til 2013 when I had another ovarian endometrioma. I don't know what my insides look like but pain wise mine isn't worse.

Could be that not all of the endo was removed properly. Could be that your endo happens to be quite aggressive. Could be that surgical adhesions are now making the pain worse. Could be that you are just unlucky. Some of us are luckier than others and not everyone's endo follows the same path after surgery... What surgical technique did the consultant use? Did he excise it?

Hi! I am suffering from stage4 endo and I had 2 laparotomies up to now. They could not treat it with laparoscopy because it was too extended. 6 months after my second laparotomy my pain returned worse. My GP send me to a general surgeon and I did a cscan to make certain that it was not something else wrong with me. It came out clear so both doctors told me that every surgery increases the abdominal pain due to the internal incisions in the abdomen. That was why they told me that it would be better not to make a lot of surgeries and to try to control the endo chemicly as long as it is possible. I live in Greece and they put me on VISANNETTE and I thank god for this pill! I hope that it will be licenced in the UK soon.

I don't know if i helped you. Maybe your pain is worse for completely different reasons. I hope that with the help of your doctor you will find soon something to help you manage your endo problems. Best wishes!

Thanks for the replys, I had the endo lasered off, but the back pain is back, and have pain on both sides, also constantly peeing, and major stomach bloating and pain, I have lost 3 stones . I attend a dietican to try and get some weight on . Doc has been great and had referred me to an endo specialist, but it's just the wait. I didn't get put on any medication after my lap, so don't know if that's a reason for it coming back.
