So I had laparoscopy in November where I was diagnosed with endo. She ‘treated’ the endo with diathermy in my pelvis and on my cervix. I have to say, my daily pain has reduced but when I have a flare up or a period, I feel like the pain is worse than ever. I had a phone consultation and explained my daily pain has reduced but this pain with bleeding or a flare up had got worse and she suggested me taking norethisterone for a few months to see if that helped and if not, then have the zoladex injections. I’ve been on the tablets for a few weeks now and haven’t seen any improvement. Has anyone found their pain get worse and also periods get much heavier too after the laparoscopy? Xx

My pain definitely 'changed' after the laparoscopy. It took a few months for me to feel normal again, and I had an IUD insertted at the same time (mirena). Two months after the operation I had very little pain, or bloating, or anything really. My periods stopped completely. I had a glorious 3 months. Then after that, about 5 months after the operation, the pain was back. It had change in feeling a little, and just felt different, no better, no worse. My GP said my option was more laparoscopy or just living with and seeing if it settled down. It eventually got better down about 3 years into having the IUD. Then I had a new IUD put in )(same brand) and ever since I'm experiencing similar pain levels and recently, new symptoms I previously didn't have like nausea around ovulation time.
