Hi, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo 2 years ago and had a laparoscopy to excuse the endo they could. Since then I have been on the combined pill and just taking cocodamol and naproxen for the pain while on my period.
My latest period has been unbearable struggling to walk or sit up without being in agony. I called my GP and they have prescribed me indometacin and dihydocodine. I have taken dihydocodeine before after I had my lap but have never hear of indometacin.
I am awaiting another lap so pain management is the only thing for me at the moment.
Thank you

Hi Marnie, have you tried taking your combined pill without a break.. I did this for a few years and it really helped.. you could check with your GP about doing this.
Hiya, my gynaecologist said to take it for 6 packets back to back and then have a break which I have been doing. So I only have a period every 5 months which is a lot better. But the pain is just getting worse each time.
My GP did mention that I might be able to take more than 6 packets and just wait until my body naturally bleeds and then have a 7 days break but to confirm this with my gynaecologist.
Hi MarnieI was diagnosed with suspected endometriosis in June 2020 and officially with Stage 4 in Oct 2020 after an emergency laparoscopy as I was in so much pain. Before my op I was taking Naproxen and co-codamol at the same time and then because the pain was getting worse each month and I was in agony daily, I was prescribed diclofenac as a suppository ( to replace the Naproxen during my period) which was marginally better and may be worth trying. When I was admitted to hospital in Oct as in so much pain they gave me a whole concoction of things while I was waiting for the op but one of the best was mefanamic acid. They also put me on a high dose of Provera (a progestorone pill) to stop my periods. Since the op I am still on Provera but only need to take co-codamol occasionally for achy bowels. Not sure if Provera would work for you - I am 50 this year and have already had my children so don't need to worry about fertility anymore. I gather there can be some unpleasant side effects but I am lucky and have had none so far after nearly 4 months.
Hope you can get some better pain relief - keep on at your doctors if you are still in agony. Good luck and take care.xx
