I've just been to see an endo specialist he didnt have my lap notes or my mri so he basically said hes going to request my notes/mri have a conversation with another specialist and decide whether to do another diagnostic lap and a colonoscopy or to just remove the endo. Apparently the small amount of mri notes and lap notes they have dont match up and they are worried because I bleed through my butt on my period that it might be in or on my bowel. Has anyone had 2 diagnostic laps? Does anyone bleed through their butt on the period where is your endo? Also was anyone not sick doing bowel prep? I have a massive phobia of sick I dont want to hear horror stories ๐ฎ

Has anyone had two diagnostic laps?
Hey Abi, i bleed when having a bowel movement (around the time of my period) and experience severe pain. I've been told I have endo on the outside of my bowel and pouch of douglas (following my lap) but will need a colonoscopy to see whether it has penetrated my bowel. I think bleeding from the bum is a common symptom of bowel endo which is why they're concerned. Sounds like you're in the best place to get answers.
Xx
Hi ๐ฎ I feel for you same as me ๐ฎ I was just wondering whether I would need a colonoscopy because it scares me but if I need it I will have to do it ๐ค I am lucky and in the best place just wished I could of gone there first ๐ญ Xx
If they suspect bowel endo you will most likely need a colonoscopy I'm afraid. It's the only way they can see if it's penetrated the bowel. I know it sucks, I've never had one before and I'm really nervous! It's so painful already i hate the thought of them prodding and poking up there ๐ญ I'm definitely asking to be sedated xx

I had one a few years ago and they insisted I wasnโt sedated. Well I insisted even harder and threatened to discharge myself in my gown if they wouldnโt.., they gave in! And Iโm glad they did because the enema I had before was incredibly painful. X
That's terrible they tried to force you to have it done without sedation ๐ณ I would threaten to leave too! I bet it's all about money, no sedation means no anaesthetist and one less person to pay. Never mind our suffering! It's awful x
Its actually not the poking that scares me its the prep ๐ It sounds like hell and some people have a bad reaction to it ๐ฎ ๐ญ Xx
The prep was what made m freak out, they say you have to keep it inside for 20 minuets minimum but as soon as it was in I couldnโt hold it.. it was so painful! I was sobbing. But donโt let our horrible stories get to you Hun itโs all over soon enough x
I'm in the same situation, I had a lap 4 weeks ago, no signs of endo found. However it was discovered that my ovaries are fused behind my uterus.
I also bleed through my bum Shen having bowel movement during my period, tmi but I always though it was blood from my vagina that was getting smeared up when I was wiping ๐. Bowel movements around ovulation and period time are utter hell, the pain is unreal.
I had an MRI last week, now waiting on my follow up with my consultant.
