So I have my third lap in 6 weeks, have had endo for 11 years. Anyway does any have left sided pain with their endo? I'm sure it's to do with my bowels but I have this pain 90% of the time, it's is worse the week before my period, when I have them then the week after. It's awful and everyone I speak too only gets pelvic pain! I get left sided pain, pelvic pain, back pain too! Xx

Yes I have this pain too in the lower left side - my endo was located in the pouch of Douglas. As well as gynae issues I also have bowel issues with it making it harder to diagnosis xoxo all the best with your lap xoxo
The pain goes right from the left side into my groin it's like a dull ache like something is stuck there then every so often sharp shooting pains! This is a third lap, I luckily managed to have another baby 4 months ago after them
Telling me I couldn't and also told me it would sort my endo but it's came back worse than before xxx
I do. I had my surgery in September this year and was diagnosed with endo on my left ovary and I had adhesions on my bowel causing it to be higher up than it should be. I always get shooting pains on my left side constant back ache and bloating. I get the occasional pain on the right side but most of the time it’s on my left side x
Do you have the pain pretty much most of the time? I've always had ibs but this pain is way worse it's just between my rib and hip bone but often goes right in the side right into my groin! I'm glad I'm not the only one I've been worrying since literally everyone I've spoken to with endo only gets pelvic pain xxx
Yeah every day it’s like a dull ache but every now and again I’ll get shooting pains around my left ovary. Also if I need to go to the toilet I have a horrible sharp pain on my left side until I’ve been to the toilet. The pain can vary from my ovary my side and it sometimes goes into my groin and my left leg xx
Sam-28 I understand when you say " like something stuck there* I said to my gyna that I feel "something is laying there ". Endo deposits can cling to any part of the bladder or bowel. My bowel problems were always worse when my period was due so rest assured you are not alone. Everyone is different and I was told that when I had a baby all would be well but I was never able to conceive so had to put up with the pain and anxiety until the menopause-only then was I free of Endo pain but then found out that Endo scar tissue on the ascending colon was probably causing my bowel to spasm. Good luck
That's exactly it I feel like there is something blocked or something needs to move it's always there then the shooting pains start are my periods! The best thing about being pregnant was being pain free, I feel like I can't look after my baby right since I'm always in agony I feel like I'm going mad! Xxx
Yes, I have pain in my left side, and then sometimes my right side lower down too.
I have endo on my right ovary and the ovary and endo is in the pouch of douglas. It's suspected I may have bowl involvement due to my symptoms, but I haven't had an MRI or a lap, and they don't think I should have surgery due to other conditions and the fact an op may hurt my overall health.
I also have a stabbing pain underneath, which I have had for years, but for the past six months the stabbing pain has occurred and the next second I have an explosion of the bowls, diarrhoea, but very explosive. I used to have terrible and painful constipation when I was on my period, but the symptoms have shifted the past few months.
My pain is mainly left sided with pelvic and back pain and left leg pain. I have just been referred to an endometriosis specialist centre as they suspect recto vaginal and bowel endo. I have had a colonoscopy and it’s not inside my bowel which is a relief xx
I get pain on my left side too, sides and lower back and hip area along with other areas too on the opposite side and in the middle, pelvic and abdominal. You're not alone! Will be praying for you and all of us!
Is your pain constant? Mines prett y much is but my periods are due and I'm curled in a ball in agony can actually fell the cysts on my left side they're huge!! Xx
My pain was also mainly bowel (always left side) digestive issues at start of year and had so many "oscopies" and told I was a fussy eater. I LOVE food lol. I was severely constipated the week before period then chronic diarrhoea period week. Severe endo was found over pelvic region, outside of bowel, my left ovary and bowel were stuck to pelvic wall, rectovaginal endo and endo in POD (didn't even know what pouch of douglas was!) Had instant relief and everything improved. Pain, digestive issues everything has come back, surgeon suspects Adenomyosis so currently on Prostap to help before deciding on a hysterectomy. Keep pushing the Drs/Surgeons you know your own body!! Good luck xxx
I'm waiting to see consultant -delayed by COVID. Was told I had an endometrium on right side after an unrelated lap surgery. Have been getting pain on right side, left side, down into right or left leg too. Recently getting lots of bowel pain, unrelated to period now. Worried it might have spread into my bowel. Pain during period is unbelievable, but if I anticipate and start taking naproxen a week before period starts it makes it manageable. This bowel pain is unpredictable though.
