Any exercise useful for endo pain?

Hey all! My endometriosis is flaring up again after just 2 years from surgery, and I am trying to not go back into bingeing on painkillers - or at least to stop at paracetamol and ibuprofen for a while. I was wondering - do you know of any exercise (such as yoga) that’s worked for your pain? Any help massively appreciated. Stay safe and warm 💕

My friends can be like yours and flares back up again alot of the time, she does different exercises to help with her pain. I yet haven't had mind flare back up yet after my for lancroscopy I had on the first September 2020 when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Does walking help? Baths?

Hi, thanks for your message! How are you feeling after your op? Walking usually helps In general when pain levels are low, but sometimes the pain is so intense that all I can do is stay in bed. I have never tried hot baths though, I’ll try those! X

When I started to start having the pains I had to take certain days off my job I had no longer started last year, hot baths helped with bubbles, I've recovered now, I had my marina coil fitted too so I didn't have to have another appointment separately. Try pelvic exercises, also when they were bad I just tried to walking around to help it, also try a wheat bag you can put in the microwave it helps wonders, also although there ibuprofen tablets I sometimes you feminax too, I always use them for my menstrual cycles as I've always used them too as mine have always been painful. Hope these ideas help.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. Both yoga and pilates have helped me.

At 1hr 20 mins of this video below there are stretches from a physio at Royal Free Hospital. They are good for the pelvic floor but many of them are good for endo too.

Particularly the diaphragmatic breathing, child's pose and dropping your pelvic floor on this selection below:

Can I ask suggest some herbal stuff:

If you can afford it I would seek out a good traditional Chinese specialist. If they have the understanding they can be outstanding at helping with endo symptoms. If you are in London I have a great one that I can suggest.

Pycnogenol (extract from pine bark) is clinically proven to help with endo period pain. It reduces it by at least 30 percent in all patients. Study used 60mg a day. Takes 1 month of daily use to start having an effect. I use 80mg a day and 120mg week before my period and during my period. Reduced pain from 8/10 to 2 or 3 out of 10. I couldn't find any side effects through research and don't experience any myself. Its a powerful anti inflammatory.

Serrapeptase is also meant to be helpful, please start on the lowest dose if you try it to judge the effect on your body.

These plasters were recommended by my Chinese medicine specialist. To be used daily on the affected areas. My pain regularly goes away within an hour or 2 and will last for more than 12 hours. If used for 12hrs daily sometimes it doesn't return. Plaster to be used for no more than 12 hours. Can replace with a new one if you want to use for 24hrs

Arthritis, Backache/Zhui Feng Gao Herbal Medicated Plaster (10 Pieces) amazon.co.uk/dp/B07H4NQD3L/...

I hope that helps and if you're in London send me a private message and I'll give you the details of my TCM doctor.

Hope some of that helps

Thank you so much, that’s really helpful!! I will definitely try all the exercises. I have a few adhesions and the pain is so intense sometimes that I can’t get myself to exercise, but if I know it will make me feel better then that’s a motivation! And yes I am in London, I’ll DM you know! X

You are welcome. I've been there so totally understand. Start small and hopefully you can build up your exercise regime in time..

The serrapeptase might help loosen or disintegrate your adhesions. I had a operation scar that would hurt daily since my lap 3 years ago. I started taking 80,000iu of serrapeptase daily (on an empty stomach 45mins before food as it dissolves protein) and after two weeks that pain stopped and has not reoccurred.

Not sure if I'm allowed to write her details publicly as endo uk don't like docs named. Let me try send you a PM.
