Is Irregular cycle normal in Endo?

Morning ladies,

So My cycle have always been 28d and period 5-7d except when taking combined pill, which made me have period every 20d, and implant that made bleed for 20d for few months.

So I’m not using any hormonal treatment and my cycle has changed a lot this last month.

My period lasted 28d and my cycle has been 39d. It does not look like my period is coming at all.

No pain or anything in this cycle.

To be honest I’d usually be happy not to have my period but we’re trying to conceive so that’s not ideal.

My question is if irregularities is a thing for endo.

Do you get periods that last that long?

What about your cycle?

When should I start being worried that my period hasn’t come?

I’ve been doing pregnancy tests and ovulation tests. Both are negative.

My GP and fertility consultant are aware.

The GP checked my iron and it’s good (I was taking iron supplement). So there was no checking or explanation from the GP. I had a scan last week and everything is the same.

I was meant to have op this month but they booked a small surgery instead of the lap, so that was cancelled and I’m waiting for new date.

Is this normal for endo?

It may be hormonal but my GP doesn’t want to check them, they say it’s fine because I checked thyroid 2 years ago.

Hi

I’ve always had irregular periods, could be anything from 4-6 weeks.

I think it can be but symptoms can vary enormously.

I hope you get a date soon, they should offer one within 28 days I think.

GP’s hate testing hormones because they vary with cycle stage as well. To do it properly you’d need at least one a week. They just don’t want to do it. Thyroid is only one test as well for hormones.

Hope you get a date soon

Hi Moon thank you for sharing

I didn’t know irregularities was a thing for endo. This is def new for me.

I hope it doesn’t come with double pain, hehe.

Well, I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts.
