I had a laparoscopy on the 4th and they inserted a medina coil as well. Although I believe I am healing well my periods are all over the place. My cycle has always been regularly since day one, never late or early and no spotting, before the surgery I had one injection where I had one period after having it and before that I was on patches with the gynaecologist told me to patch over my breaks where I would normally bleed to help with the pains as it was unbearable on the breaks, this was for quite a few months due to delays with covid.
Since the surgery I have been bleeding on and off, I have always bled heavy but this seems different, it is very heavy bleeding for a day or 2 then spotting for a couple days before another heavy bleed, it sounds weird (and sorry to gross anyone out) but the blood doesn't look like normal period blood as well if that makes sense. And it's painful too, I could not get to sleep last night due to having so many cramps.
Is this normal? Could this just be making up for lost time due patching over too much? Will this stop?
