Hello, any advice here would be greatly appreciated. I had a laparoscopy on the 2nd January and had endo treated. I am on the mini pill and have been for 3 years. I started bleeding on Thursday which by Friday turned extremely heavy and there were clots every time I check that were the size of a 50 pence piece. The pain was unreal waking me up at 5am ripping through my stomach hips and back to the point I felt dizzy and nauseous. I went to my nearest a&e departmenr Who sent me to see the on call gyne. I was in agony when he examined me so he had to stop. He decided to admit me and send me for a scan the next day.. as I expected this found nothing and was kept in a further to days to try and control the pain. I just felt like because the ultra sound was clear and there was no infection then they assume nothings wrong? I do have and appointment with me consultant tomorrow but if anyone has any idea of what could be going on I would very much appreciate it

Sorry to hear you’ve been in such pain. I had my first lap 7 weeks ago and two weeks later I woke in the night with severe pain. Luckily it responded to pain relief and heat pads and although the pain made me ready for bleeding, none came. ( I’m on Prostap injections so technically shouldn’t have a period). I’ve read lots of posts where women have had pain and bleeding post lap and then it settles. Mine did and I really hope yours does too. What pain relief are you on now? Is it helping?

Hi, I’m on tramadol, oramorph, norethistrrone and mefenamic acid. But I can still feel the pain there

I had my first lap 16th December and recently had my first period since op, it was horrific. Worse pain than the lap or the infection I got in one of the stitches. I have finished now and it is easing, I still have an ovary stuck and endo hiding in places so pain is still there but not as bad as during my period. Hope it eases a little for you too x I’m not on any pill or contraceptive as hoping to get pregnant this year x

I was wondering if ther was a chance they hadn’t got all of the endo I’m just st the point that even though I’m 21 I’m seriously considering a hysterectomy . And I good luck with conceiving :)

I have been in so much pain I have said it a few times ‘take it all away’ I’m 35 and have never conceived so really this is my last resort to get treatment and hope that we are able to have a baby of our own. I know what I would have don’t if This had started at 21. I believe there are hormone treatments which can help if you are not ready to start a family but have not tried anything along that route.

I'm having my first lap on the 8th of Feb. I have read a lot about how the first period is really bad. Not looking forward to it . I hope things get better xx
