Just had my pre op done, ready for my operation Wednesday afternoon. I’m really nervous but at the same time looking forward to moving forward in my journey. Please any advice or tips for the surgery, what to take, what to expect etc. Xx

Hi is it a laparoscopy you are having? I had that twice. I’m sure you’ll feel better when done I just had some discomfort and couldn’t bend for a good few days after the op but manageable just make sure to take it easy. Hope it goes well for you.
Keep hope all will be ok. I see you wish to have a baby. Keep going. I can understand what your going through having been in similar situation. It’s easy to give up. Keep believing it will work out keep fighting this and I’m sure your time will come. You’ve got this.
I just had my laparoscopy 3 weeks ago. I was a nervous wreck but I pulled through. Definitely let them know if you have any anxieties about being put to sleep. I did and they gave me meds to relax me and before you know it you’re waking up in recovery. There will be pain and trouble using the restroom. You will hobble around for a while. Just take it easy on yourself and get as much help as you can with doing things but do also walk around. Much luck to you!!
Hey! You will be fine. Before you know it you will be back on the ward. I don’t remember much pain during recovery in terms of tummy but a watch out is they use gas to pump out the tummy and it can travel so I had such a sore shoulder which the doc confirmed was the gas from the op ( it doesn’t happen to everyone)
I Also think as I wasn’t moving a lot I got really bloated but windeeze was such a help haha then once I got moving about when I was able I felt much better xx
Hi Chloe, i am waiting for lap no3, 3 weeks to go.
Take sanitary towels with you. I had a wee bit spotting afterwards on my last 2. Also, wear loose comfy clothes and shoes you can slip on. Take your slippers too, i had to walk to theatre.
Arrange for whoever picking you up to bring a pillow for seatbelt to go over.
