Hi everyone, I’ve had a call today to go into hospital this week for an an AMH blood test and scan which have been waiting a while for. I’m feeling a bit anxious about it - have people that have gone into hospital for appointments recently felt safe? Are people social distancing within the hospital and wearing masks? Thanks v much xx

I've been a few times with my mum for scans and blood test and I felt safer there than in a supermarket. I wore a mask the first time but didn't after. It was very very quiet
Thanks so much that’s really reassuring.
I’ve been to GP and local health centre (ultrasound/X-ray) recently. Staff all wore masks, apart from reception and one GP. Personally if I could go sooner for MRI I’d be there. I’ve found things quieter than ever.
It is a personal thing though with the situation, something you need to feel comfortable with.
If you decide to go let us know how it goes.
I have an endo appointment in hospital in a week. I’m in the higher risk category. So I’ll be anxious. Going to take my partner with me and wear face masks and hopefully it will be the safest place to be. Hospitals should be being ultra safe and careful. Hope your appointment goes ok! X
I've been to gp appointments, when I got there it was quite I was the only one around other than the nurse. I had my temp taken upon arrival, a mask given and I had my own gloves they also had hand gel everywhere. They scrubbed the place before I went into the room and it was scrubbed as I left. It was much cleaner I hope going forward its always like this! I am also going into hospital for scans blood tests etc and now feel at ease I hope everything goes ok x
Thanks for the advice everyone - I went in today and was fine. they check your temperature before youre seen and those that see you wear masks. There is also social distancing in the waiting room and not many people at the hospital so felt quite safe to go. Xx
