Has anyone been to hospital because they are in so much pain and uncomfortable and stomach is swollen like 6 months pregnant
I am waiting for surgery private but haven't even had a date for surgery yet
Would the hospital even do anything or just send you home again
I don't know how much longer I can go on like this I have andometriosis inside and outside my uteris and in my pelvis and pushing down on my pelvis

Yep! You are right. I have been there too. Only pain management. Then when you start feeling better you get told to leave. It’s awful x
It's wrong!! I got took in as emergency on Monday pouring with blood and took straight to a ward didn't have to go through a and e the paramedics rang the surgical ward and took me up lovely nurse gave me these huge hospital incontinence pads to wear that r the length of my 1 year old sleepy grow bag!! Getting me to peenin a jug that was almost black to look at I was bleeding that heavy, had loads of drugs through iv and even though my hysterectomy is in 10 days time they still wouldn't take me down to theatre its terrible it really is. As 4 pain management a and e will give u morphene likely and then ule go to a ward and be fobbed off may be lucky to stay a night xxx
Hi I know it’s always morphine and they make out it’s not a big deal. I stayed in an awful ward last time, the other patients looked after me more than the nurses. Good luck for your hysterectomy. I really hope it gives you your life back. I am waiting on ablation then failing that it’s hysterectomy. Scary. Did you have to go through a lot to get your final op? Xx
When I was 12 I was in and out of hosp sever periods and agonising tummy pain started periods at 11, 2014 I had laparoscopy diagnosed with endometriosis also in past had fibroids removed. Tried pill, mini pill, coil, they burnt the lining of my womb... Still the same over the past year iv been in horrendous pain many trips to hosp tried tranexemic acid, mefenamic acid, norethisterone and medroxy progesterone at 140mg a day a gp would only prescribe 30mg a day but consultant prescribed me a very high dose. Someone come across my hosp notes and said the amount of hormones I was on I was lucky to not have a blood clot. I then got another referral to gyne over the years iv always been treated in nhs hospitals, because this was an emergency referral 2 week wait I was seen in a private hospital by an NHS consultant was seen with in 5 mins of arrival, sat for a good hour in the consultation few days time I had an ultrasound this was end of March 2 weeks after that I was booked in for my hysterectomy. Then cancelled due to covid, since then iv had around 6 hosp admissions since April my gp wrote a strongly worded letter to my consultant who ide also seen on the ward round a few weeks ago he took it to management and argued my case told them I can not wait and had me booked in for 4 weeks time now iv got 10 days to my surgery. Been through alot to get where I am and I'm now 29!they are very strict I have thyroid issues afte iv delivered baby and it happens every time I was told not to have anymore children as I'd likely end up in intensive care next time I have another so that's another reason he agreed cos of what my endocrine doc said. But he said its quite rare to offer someone of my age. U must have tried everything, u must have good reason, and ur family must be complete also depends on the consultant sorry for the essay!! Xxxx
You have been through so much and a hysterectomy at 29 is so young. What a shame. I am 10 years older than you. It’s hard coping with all of this, I would love to remember what feeling well meant x

I bleed for months at a time, soak through my clothes with blood, labour like pains, blood issues, sickness, fatigue. X
Very similar to me. Have they not mentioned zoladex to you you have hrt with it it will put you in to menopause xx
Had my baby in May and haven't stopped bleeding since August 2019 xx

No it's not sorry for the tmi but leaves you so sore too wearing sanitary towels every day for the past 11 months. Im glad 10 days to go. Iv got open surgery so bikini line cut through my c section scar hopefully, I know the recovery going to be hard but gita be better than living like this in so surprised they have not offered you a hysterectomy as even an option, xx
Iv just come of zoladex which puts you in to menopause even that didn't stop my bleeding. Xx

My consultant gave me three options
Do nothing
Try medication and treatment
Or have a hysterectomy removing my uteris and having any endometriosis removed
I have andometriosis completly covering my uteris inside and out and pushing down on my pelvis I have pain most days and my stomach is always swollen I've had to go part time at work as couldn't manage full time
I really feel for you it's horrible isn't it. Especially when some people just pass it of as if to say well just manage an out of hours gp said to me a few weeks ago.... Well sorry ur gona have to soldier on. Would you prefer the hysterectomy? How old r u xx
I ended up going week before last, I’d contemplated it many times. Did end up speaking to pain nurse, once I got past dragon at the door (kept telling me to go back to GP) and the nurse gave me Tramadol and they’d contact GP for referral to pain clinic. I wasn’t sure what they’d do in all honesty. I never thought that I’d be taking this type of pain meds in a million years.
I’ve managed three 15/20 min sessions in the garden today, now lying down having taken some more.
You need to make sure you don’t have a uti as well, on that basis could be worth a try. I’d go weekday than weekend, but depends how bad you are feeling. Hope you feel better soon
By going to hospital it will be noted and the info sent to your GP so it builds up a profile of how much pain you are in. Then go back to your GP and say you can't cope with the pain, you can only but try😉. As for the wait for private surgery, it depends where you live but the NHS h as done a deal to take their patients and if they were urgent cases it's possible they will be seen before you but I don't know for sure🤔
I have been experiencing pain, feeling nausea and have been going in and out of A&E for the past year they haven’t done anything. I have been trying to convince my doctors to test me for endometriosis. I am finally getting somewhere after a year. You should ask to try depo provera ( contraception injection). A gynaecologist said it should help my pain and balance my hormones. But A&E really didn’t help me at all.
Does anyone feel really low and not themselves with all this tired all the time and not themselves only place I feel comfortable is lying on the sofa or in bed don't seem interested in anything worried about doing stuff incase it sets pain off again

Many of times! I have been in with the pain being so severe. Unfortunately the other replies are similar and they just manage pain until it’s under control and then send you home without any real investigation or doing anything to help. I was supposed to be having lap on 9th April then it got cancelled and I’m still waiting to hear but the wait is just torture. I’ve noticed every time I have a flare up it’s worse than the last. Hope you get sorted soon!! Xx
Hi Bailey, I really do feel your pain. I was diagnosed with endometriosis two years ago. The sad part is I have had chronic back and pelvic pain for 20 years and what is even worse is I wasn't told I had endometriosis after the surgery (private hospital referal from NHS). In fact the surgeon didn't even see me afterwards and discharged me with a letter saying no follow up required. I only found out accidently when I was in so much pain before they released me and the nurse said it was because of the endometriosis. I said I don't have endometriosis and nothing more was said. I ended up in hospital a few times later that year with severe back, pelvic and sciatic pain. The Orthopedic docs wanted me to have an MRI but ended up with a CT scan that showed an adnexal mass in my ovaries. I started looking further into this, calling my own primary docs back to see if the reports from the hospital had mentioned anything and was told "No". I kept calling the private hospital and was told severe rectovaginal endometriosis had been found during the laparoscopy. NO ONE cared enough to tell me and I am only finding out now after investigation that my own Doc surgery as well as the NHS hospital had this information. I am still waiting on an explanation as to why I was not referred on with these findings and this diagnosis. Also, I am now finding out they carried out a uterine ablation when there was a presence of a mass in my ovaries that could be cancer. They should never have done that ablation in the first instance. Now today over a year on. I have bilateral endometriomas that they can't confirm are cancerous. I also have severe pain in my hips and back and my bowel doesn't work well relying on enemas and laxatives. I have made a formal complaint to the hospital and sent a letter to the ombusman. I am waiting to find out if I require surgical intervention. Everything has been put on hold because of COVID-19. Don't give up Bailey and document everything!
