Had to vent hoping someone might be having same issue hospital have lost any record of my referal for the endo specialist that was suppose to be refered to after my laparoscopy 4 times i had to ring as nobody has been trying to sort the issue out then to be told i cant go to the endo specialist even though ive had a diagnosis i have to go back to the original gyny dr who was awful to me and had no interest in trying to figure out what was wrong with me its ridiculous

The amount of times my doctors have lost my blood tests and referral letters is beyond a joke. You can put a complaint in about a certain gynae. I had to do it the first time I saw one as he was a complete prick to me and basically insulted my figure and looks and didn’t even ask about my symptoms or anything. If you complain then they shouldn’t refer you back to him xx

I spoke to the practice manager and my doctor. They will just write it on your notes and make sure you don’t get the same person. X

You can refuse to see the crap gynae, you have a right to chose who treats you x

Thank you for your reply have you refused yourself and asked for a specific dr?

I’ve refused as I felt violated and degraded by a doctor, and the hospital has been informed that this specific doctor doesn’t touch me x

I was worried if i did this it may delay my treatment

Has in my case cos I’ve moved hospitals all together, but it shouldn’t in theory, and if it does contact PALS because if you feel it could be classed as a delay to ‘punish you’ don’t know how to phrase that, as apposed to a normal delay, no point in staying with a gynae you don’t get along with and that isn’t treating you x

Hi Lyn84,

I am sorry to read what you are going through. Have you contacted your hospitals PALS service? I have found them very useful in the past.

You might also find the NICE Endometriosis guidelines as useful read as well: nice.org.uk/guidance/ng73.

Best Wishes,

M Mary
