PAIN

Hello Ladies,

Hope your all well. Just need some advice, I've had pain in right side of my back. Just under my rib cage.

Drs have done a urine test that's clear. Put me on antibiotics just incase.

It hurts when I move, sit down even more when I try and sleep. It hurts a bit when I got for a wee. I haven't knocked myself.

Could anyone suggest what it could be. I'm supposed to be seeing a dr tomorrow but just need advice. :)

Thank you

Sam :)

Maybe cystitis

Good suggestion.

I know last year loads of frequency, mostly without infection, ended up putting that down to endo. Not totally sure though.

What sort of testing have you had overall?

Hi Moon_maiden,

I've got Endo but the gynecologist doesn't know where its stuck. I've been waiting 5yrs for a hysterectomy. The only test the dr has done up to now is a urine test. It hurts to move, sit down & sleep. It starts off under my ribs hurts a bit more when I go to the toilet. Sometimes it moves round the front of my stomach. :)

It sounds like cystitis I have had it and I describe it as a burning sensation which can move up to your rib cage it comes along with endo.also it can be localised e.g only your lower abdomen or pelvis It’s a very discomforting pain and can be a distraction x

Hi hope your well I also had this two weeks ago, also when going for a wee I’d have a sensation of needing one straight after but nothing will come out and since then I will have a random urgency of needing to empty bladder rather then a gradual. I also was prescribed antibiotics but didn’t collect them as I knew it wasn’t an infection I’m putting it down to a flare up ? Hope your well

Hello Adeno2020,

Thank you for your reply. I've been to the doctors today. The GP thinks I've pulled a major muscle in my back. I got up this morning no pain as soon as I went for a wee the pain came straight back. She said theres a lump in my back which tells her is a pulled muscle. But I dont know what a pulled muscle has to do with my water works. Why would it hurt to wee if it's just a muscle.

Thank you

What muscle do they think you’ve pulled? I do massage. Have you done anything out of the ordinary before it happened.

Was the dr aware of endo and potential hysterectomy?

I’m struggling moving, sitting etc., have been for months.

She didn't say, just said keep using the volterol gel. Use the oramorph if I need it. She was a bit useless I think. I might ring up Monday for a second opinion of it's no better. :)

Probably a good idea, there is out of hours as well if it gets worse.

Good luck with GP if you have to go back and with hysterectomy.

Let us know how you get on Monday
